Did you hear this from a dermatologist? If you ';came to know'; something so scientific, it must have been from from someone practicing medicine.

I own a small pool business and when a swimming pool is maintained properly (1-3ppm free chlorine), there is no harm to the skin.

If chlorine levels exceed (10ppm) (*ppm= parts per million), there is potential for hair and skin damage.

Suggestions for precautionary methods. 1. Make sure to rinse off before using a pool, then shower with soap after using a pool. 2. If you're really concerned, purchase chlorine test strips at your local pool supply store and take them with you to the pool. 3. Limit the amount of time you spend in the water.

Hope this helps. How to precautiously take care of our skin before going to chlorinated water in swimming pool? ?
Don't think you can do much before swimming.

Does decolor in your meaning is becoming more tan? If so I don't think you can avoid it.

However, after swim you can get rid of the chlorine by taking a shower with soap as soon as possible.

I swam competitively for fourteen years and never had any problems, I had even tanned skin. What's the exact problem that you're having??
