What's the best way to take care of your skin when it comes to shaving?

I wanted to know if there is any real good information on how to take care of your skin or facial hair and the best way to shave so that u could prevent anything bad like razor burns or anything. Please recommend any specific products if possible. Thanx. What's the best way to take care of your skin when it comes to shaving?
I use to work for Clinique and I use to help a lot of men in this area. Also, my husband is in the Navy and shaves on a a daily basis.

Believe it or not the woman's Gillette Brand.. In the Blue Bottle, Ocean Breeze is great for men, It is moisturizing and you can get a clean shave.

The key is to use a sharp blade, massage, press softly and HEAT!

The heat will open up pores making the hair soft.

It gets expensive but I would use your blade twice and get another blade. This is up to you...

Between Shaves Exfoliate with a gentle facial scrub... Nothing High costs... Use the womans generic it will work fine. Use it in the shower.... This pulls away the dead skin needless to say it will give you a closer shave...

Shave AFTER a Hot Shower ! Massage Massage Massage.. It will losen tense muscles getting a closer shave....

MOISTURIZE between shaves... This I would invest a little more money... You get only one face in life Sorry. LOL. Not only will it help keep your face smooth and nick free it will also help with the aging lines.... Trying to shave dry skin will cause more razor burn.

I understand you want to get this done quick but, without the heat, massage, sharp blades, clean skin.... It'll be rough.

SHAVING SUCKS

Good Luck! What's the best way to take care of your skin when it comes to shaving?
None. I have tried everything. Shaving sucks!
**be careful about nicking yourself

**Use shaving Cream

**Keep your skin washed

**Keep your skin moisturized.
Start with a clean face! Use a soap that is ph balanced. ph ( the level of alkalinity that matches your skin). Use warm shave soap. A good razor (gillette sensor). Rinse with cool water. Do not use after-shave products with alcohol in them. Alcohol dries your skin.

Good luck and happy hair removal.
keep it wet whith shaving cream at least 5 minutes before shaving...........change shaving clreams periodically.
I am a gurl, but this might help?

i usually put mineral oil on afterwards to prevent burns....
best way to shave:

1. soak a small wash cloth in hot water then (after it's cooled a little) wrap it around your face. This will open up your pores.

2. forget shaving cream, use regular lotion like St. Ives but try and stay away from the blue tin can nivea type of thick heavy lotions they tend to make a mess.
The best advice is to shave immediately after getting out of the hot shower before drying off. The ten minutes plus you spend in the shower completely softens up your beard and skin.

If you jump out of the shower and go shave while your face is still wet and warm, you'll find that shaving will be 20 times easier and it will come right off without razor burn or irritation, even if shaving against the grain. This will work better than the hot waschloth method, which won't have time to completely soften up your beard and face.

The more expensive shaving gels are also definitely superior to the cheap shaving creams, btw. Also use a triple blade or quadruple blade razor, not cheap disposables.
Invest in a good shaver and blade!
Start by taking care from the inside of your body, particularly regarding your skin. Shelled sunflower seeds are fantastic. One teaspoon a day, chewed well.
when it comes to my face,i just use hot water,to soften my whiskers and use a sharp razor, and when iam done,i throw a little after shave on.thats all i do.
