Ok, there are a few questions:
Which do u prefer pressed or loose powder and is pressed powder that bad for ur skin because its so much easier to bring along and apply? (like if i wash it off b4 i sleep will it still cause problems?)
How do u get rid of blackheads the type on the nose and cheeks and strips dont work cuz there kinda deep and really small?
Hey yall thx for who ever helps me out and the most and im sure ill giv u 10 points. Oh and btw i really need help bout the powder thing cuz i dont wanna being using something bad but its so so much better for me when i use pressed it also stays on longer.I need help with skin care/make up?
OK here goes: In order to get your skin to be healthy and look nice, you may want to cut back on wearing makeup until you sort out your skin first. Loose powder is a good base for makeup (you put a little bit of loose powder on your bare face, then put eye shadow, blush on top and they won't run or fade because the powder holds the colour particles on your face -- this is a trick that makeup artists use). But in addition, if you have oily or combination skin, you have to wear pressed powder (in moderation if possible, it clogs pores) for a finished look. Wear foundation only for special occasions. But deal with makeup later - deal with cleansing first. The best makeup artist I've ever read about who worked with celebrities yet wrote good books for people in general was the late Kevyn Aucoin. His books explain a lot about make up, how to experiment with it and how to use it properly and get really great and really different looks.
http://kevynaucoin.com/
Skin care - you have to go to a cosmetician or a salon and get them to assess your skin type if you don't already know it. Different cleansers are aimed to treat different skin types and you have to pick the right type -- also different brands will affect you differently, so you have to experiment. Buy small bottles and try something, and if you don't like it, buy another small bottle or try a sample at a dept store - and figure out what is good for you. Don't be sold on buying super expensive products at the salons. Most women use a mixture of expensive and cheaper products according to what they find works for them as individuals.
The bottom line for daily care is 3 steps: cleanser, toner, moisturizer (sounds like you need a non oily moisturizer). Do that 2-3 times a day. In addition you can exfoliate once a day (use anything based with apricot kernels like Apri Apricot facial scrub -- some people do this only 1-2 times per week not daily) in areas where your skin is oily. The idea with an exfoliator (a scrub) is to gently remove the top layer of dead skin cells that are sitting on your face all the time and help protect it - but they can also clog pores and cause problems.
Older women need heavier moisturizers and mild toners like rosewater to protect their skins, young women often need alcohol-based or witch-hazel based toners to tighten their pores. Be very careful around your eye area -- don't put toner there, no scrubs, no regular moisturizer. If you want to offset future wrinkles around your eyes moisturize with a good, high quality, top brand eye creme - but one suited for your skin type and age - often. Even if you are young, doing this 2-3 times per day will prevent lines caused by dehydration, and whatever your age now, in several years you will look in the mirror and thank yourself for having gone to the trouble. Always use a sunblock with a high spf when you are out in heavy sun, although clean it off when inside, as spf creams are often oily. Be careful to pick hypoallergenic products - check the labels.
But for the other problems you mention, using those strips won't work -- too harsh. You have to treat your skin gently. So in addition to daily care you should once/twice a week (more to start) do a masque. The best ones have kaolin clay or ground oatmeal in them for oily skins. There are also masques for dry skin or dry skin areas which you can buy separately and will moisturize.
To do a masque, steam your face first -- put hot water in a sink or in a bowl (if you use boiling water let it cool a bit), then put your face over the bowl or sink with a towel over your head to keep the steam in. This opens your pores to prepare your skin for the masque which will draw out impurities from your skin like a poultice.
Steam your face for about 10 minutes - if you have blackheads or pimples do it longer, if you can stand it - 15-20 mins. Then put the masque on - St. Ives and Freeman products are good. Wait 10-20 minutes. Then rinse it off, cleanse, tone, moisturize. Some people skip all the steaming and just put a masque on after they shower. It is easier, but is not as in depth a treatment.
It is a lot of work - but that is the answer (I am afraid) to having beautiful skin. If you do it, though, you will not only correct current problems, you will stay young looking until you are in your 80s (I have seen older women who did this all their lives and it makes a real difference once they get pass 50, the trouble they took really shows). There are tonnes of good books about skin care which you can get through amazon. Don't buy them, necessarily, you can go to the bookstore and browse, check the internet read up a bit on it, ask other women you know, and try things out, you will learn a lot. For example there are a lot of traditional herbal formulas that have been used by women as staples for thousands of years - especially olive oil, rosewater and witchhazel. Also, some vitamin supplements can help you - taking Vitamin E regularly is well known; you have to look on the internet. Use tea tree oil for blemishes. There is no quick fix, but if you figure out the right combination, you will look fantastic.
I hope that helps!I need help with skin care/make up?
I like pressed powder, but i don't wear make up a lot if you look after you skin and tone and cleanse it does reduce pimples and blackheads. Maybe you should try a facial scrub twice a week and see if that helps your skin. If you don't want to buy a scrub try this - mix together 2 tablespoons of fine or caster sugar with 4 tablespoons of olive oil and gently massage into your face avoid your eyes. It is also good with lemon juice mixed in to clean dirty hands and as a body scrub with some essential oils mixed in. Remember to rinse your face after with warm water
I prefer loose it just seems to cover better. You should check out Everyday Minerals website, you can get a free kit %26amp; only pay S%26amp;H. I just ordered mine. I would say place a warm washcloth over your nose to to work the blemishes out %26amp; wash 2x a day. The minerals to be wonderful for the skin it might even help with blemishes. Hope this helps.:)
I usually use loose powder at home and carry compressed powder with me. I haven't found that either one causes more pimples or break outs. Also I use bioelements makeup. They make both pressed and loose. It's always going to help to wash it off before bed, using an oil free make up remover or somethin mild. I also use the Body Shop's tea tree foaming face wash and tea tree mask. It definately helps the break outs and helps clean out the poors.
Hope I helped some
Loose powder sets your makeup and controls shine through out the day. Just a light dusting in the T-zone should be sufficient. Use a pressed powder compact throughout the day for touch ups. Always Always Always wash your face before you go to bed. Sleeping in make up is one of the quickest ways to age your skin, which for women, starts when were 25.
As far as the blackhead question, look for a gentle scrub cleanser with benzoyl peroxide. It is just as effective as salicylic acid but not as harsh on your skin.
Hope this heps!
The most important thing about your powder is the brush- not whether its pressed or loose- that will determine the finish. Also get an oil absorbing powder if you are worried about clogged pores. Mineral powders are great- and now they are available in drugstore brands- just as nice as more expensive brands. I like L'Oreal myself.
As for blackheads- the absolute best thing for blackheads is salicylic acid. Look on the ingredients. Some of the acne pads have this product at 2%, you can do a quick sweep of the pad over your problem areas and you will see a difference within two weeks. PLUS- its cheap. Literally, your skin will just start looking smooth.
I prefer pressed powder because it is portable, but as for pressed versus loose powder, it's just a matter of what you prefer.
I'm over 50 and I've never removed my makeup before sleeping. It's never caused any problems.
Blackheads are actually regular pimples except that part of the matter that's in the pore has been exposed to the air causing it to discolor. The absolutely best way I have found to remove blackheads is to wet a washcloth with the hottest tap water you can tolerate. Apply it to your face and leave it there a minute or two to open your pores. Gently wash your face then rinse it with cold water. If you want to you can followup with a cotton ball saturated in rubbing alcohol, (if you read the ingredients on many products used as skin toners you will notice the main ingredient is alcohol), but be careful not to get it in your eyes, nose, or mouth. If you do this once a day, every day, you should see your blackheads disappear. But don't over do it!
Taking care of your skin before you have problems is better than trying to find a cure afterwards. Always use sunblock, (and you can buy foundation with it already mixed in), protect your skin from the cold and the wind, don't touch your face if you don't have to because you introduce germs and bacteria onto your skin, and sleep on your back if possible to slow down the wrinkling and loose skin process.
thanks 4 da 2 points

Loose powder's betta, coz it sticks to ur skin less......Skin gets spoilt less, simple.......Try to keep ur face as cleen as possible, ....wash ur face with sorta cold water, as many times a day as u can........Gud 4 ur skin,,,,will remove dirt n oil,,,,no more blackheads.........n that's bettathan any cream/facial/treatment............All the best
it really makes no difference wether you use pressed or loose powder..the only problem ewith pressed is that ppl tend to put more than they need on. the one thing i stress the most is: GET A GOOD BRAND OF MAKEUP! most ppl dont understand that theres a reason drugstore makeup is cheaper: its low quality and does yuour skin more harm than good. go to bobbi brown, clinique, or laura mercier..these are all good brands. you can get them all on saks.com or neimanmarcus.com
as form your black heads..use proactive. if this doesnt work, go to your dermo and they will get you something more powerful.
Pressed powder is best then loose powder. But i'd use liquid foundation. And you should wash your face really good before bed or workout or when you get home for the day.The sooner the better. For blackheads use a toolor get a needle and pick it out.
It's okay to use a pressed powder. The only reason you should have problems with your skin is if you DON'T wash it off before you go to sleep. For the blackheads, you need to get a really good cleanser that gets deep beneath the skin. I use Mary Kay's TimeWise 3-in-1 Cleanser http://www.marykay.com/daryn_anderson/sk… and it really helps with my blackheads.
As far as powder goes.... i would try Bare Minerals I.D. this stuff actually improves your skin because its all natural. Its super simple to apply and looks great and actually stays on. It also evens out your complection. You can purchase this at the following places:
www.ulta.com or the actual store
www.bareminerals.com
www.bareesentuals.com
www.sephora.com or the actual store
Nordstrom department store
This make up is free of preservatives, talc, oil, fragrance, and other harmful chemicals. It also contains sunscreen which is a bonus as well. This make up is so good that even if you didnt wash your face before you went to sleep it wouldnt hurt your skin.
As far as the blackhead issue...
- Keep the skin as clean and oil free as possible. Use natural or chemically prepared cleansers, astringent solutions or masks to accomplish this. Avoid harsh soaps that may irritate the skin or any creams that leave an oily finish.
- Use a gentle exfoliant to keep the dead cells off your skin and away from the pore openings.
- Avoid harsh squeezing or scraping at the blackhead. Excessive squeezing can damage the skin surround the pore and can actually increase the size of the pore leading to more blackheads in the future.
- A warm compress of water applied to the area of the blackhead followed by a very, very gentle pressure can help in clearing the clog from the pore.
- Commercial “blackhead strips” which are basically a tape like substance that is placed over the nose and then pulled off will remove some blackheads that are at the surface. Caution should be used with these products and it is important to read the directions completely before deciding to use the strips or not.
-Use an oatmeal or almond mask throughly to cleanse your face. Mix either oatmeal or almond powder with enough rose water to make a soft paste that spreads easily on the skin. Rub it on your skin with your fingertips, paying special attention the problem areas. Leave to dry for about 15 minutes and then rinse off with cold water.
-Apply undiluted lemon juice, two to three times a day, on the affected areas.
-A solution made out of one and a half cups of hot water and half a tablespoon of boric powder is an ideal concoction for blackheads, Saturate a face napkin in this hot solution and press on to the skin, repeat twice. Extract blackheads carefully with a blackhead remover and sterilized cottonwool. Pat on an astrigent.
-Warm a little honey and apply on the trouble spots. Wash off after 10-15 minutes.
Try out these home remedies for cleaning out your blackheads yourself or get in touch with a qualified beautician if they get worse or they do not work.
good luck
i prefer pressed powder(max factor) ... before washing clean ur face with ..cleansing milk lotion or toner... after no residue of powder will be left.
for blackheads - take steam on face then scrub it with a scrubbing gel...
I hope it helps!
i went to school for this. all make-up has an ingredient in it that can cause pimples and black heads. all you can do is wear the make-up you like and wash your face at night. use products that is right for your skin when washing. it is hard to do before you go to bed cause you just want to sleep. but do it and drink plenty of water everyday and as you get older you will look younger from the water you drink. thats one way the movie stars stay looking so young.

Looking for skin care products for oily skin, preferably with natural ingredients.?
I started a similar topic, but I feel I didn't phrase my question in the best way. I'm a vegetarian primarily, with very oily skin, and I've been breaking out lately. Could anybody recommend me a system of products with preferably natural ingredients that would help my cause? I've tried apple cider vinegar, and that doesn't work too well. What about witch hazel and aloe vera? I'm looking for products that do the following;
.Cleanse
.Tone/dry the skin (to get rid of blemishes)
.Moisturize
Any help would be very much appreciated.Looking for skin care products for oily skin, preferably with natural ingredients.?

Arbonne is 100% pure and natural and vegan never ever tested on animals.
Plus it works on all skin types.
You could use witch hazel as a toner. It works well, it's also used an antiseptic and sometimes an anti-inflammatory.
do you eat much soy? I found that this made my skin very bad. try eliminating it if thats the case. I like 'Paul penders' products..www.paulpenders.com (the tea tree and peppermint wash...all natural)
aubrey organics is good as well
gratefulbody.com
drhaushka.com....very nice products!

In cosmetics, toner refers to a lotion designed to cleanse the skin and shrink pores, usually used on the face. Some people dispute whether toner is actually necessary, and prefer to use plain water instead. Toners can be applied to the skin in different ways:
On damp cotton wool. (most frequently used method)
Spraying onto the face using a vaporiser
By applying a tonic gauze facial mask - a piece of gauze is covered with toner and left on the face for a few minutes.
After toning, blot the face almost dry with a tissue and apply the moisturiser.

[edit] Types of toners
[edit] Skin bracers or fresheners
These are the mildest form of toners; they contain virtually no alcohol (0-10%), water, and a humectant such as glycerine. Humectants help to keep the moisture in the upper layers of the epidermis by preventing it from evaporating. A popular example of this is rosewater.
These toners are the kindest to skin, and are most suitable for use on dry, dehydrated, sensitive and normal skins.
[edit] Skin tonics
These are slightly stronger and contain a small quantity of alcohol (up to 20%), water and a humectant ingredient. Orange flower water is an example of a skin tonic. Skin tonics are suitable for use on normal, combination, and oily skin.
[edit] Astringents
These are the strongest form of toner and contain a high proportion of alcohol (20-60%), antiseptic ingredients, water, and a humectant ingredient. These are commonly recommended for oily skins as they are drying, but note that the removal of oil from the skin can lead to excess oil production as the skin tries to compensate for this and prevent moisture loss. Witch hazel is an example of an astringent. To prevent dehydration, astringent is best applied only to problem areas of skin, such as spots.
You use it after cleanser (which opens pores and is often acidic or alkaline) to close pores and return skin to its natural p.H
it helps keep the elasticity in your skin, so it doesn't look flabby

i dont know how to spell it but its called a extatitian. ex ta tishian.
you can go to a beauty college.
or a dermatologist but of course that is a MD and many years
If you want to 'major' in something like that, than you must want to be an estitician. They do skin, and many other things. But if you want to be a dermatologist, you would major in some form of science, or what ever major the medical school you would like to go to says you can do, take the MCAT and get your MD, and THEN go back to school to become a dermatologist specialty. SO estitician and dermatologist are very very different. Both do skin, but a dermatologist is legally and trained to to handle more cases.
Dermatology. To become a dermatologist, you're going to need to go to medical school. For that, you need to be a well rounded student as well as an undergraduate degree (which doesn't have to be science-based as long as you have basic prerequisites, usually bio, chem, physics.).
I believe residence (the period where you are an intern in a hospital) is fairly long. Interesting tidbit: dermatology is one of only two medical fields where the average salary in Canada is lower than that of the U.S.
Good luck in the future :)
A Dermatologist is a skin Dr. If that is what you were thinking of.
No idea on what college classes you will need just lots of them.
Good luck to you in any case.

What does a skin care specialist/Esthetician do??
Where can you take a liscense for skin care?? What do you do?? Is it like a dermatologist?? I'm so confused!!What does a skin care specialist/Esthetician do??
A Dermatologist is a medical doctor who specializes in diseases of the dermis (skin and subcutaneous tissue.)
A skin care specialist is someone with training in superficial skin care - they do not have the education or authority to diagnose or treat skin diseases (skin cancer, psoriasis, excema, moles, etc.) They are Estheticians only. Esthetics means appearance. An Esthetician is a specialist in making your external skin LOOK good. They are trained to assess skin conditioning, elasticity, pore size, etc, and provide non medical treatment to correct skin irregularities - facials, etc. What does a skin care specialist/Esthetician do??
they are more for like facial procedures, like ... laser or light chem peels... a derm. can do injections... such as juvaderm ... like i go to a derm once a yr to get all my freckles ck'd for skin cancer, i go to his esth. for ipl laser treatments... did i make it as clear as mud??? lol

Neutrogena Advanced Acne Skin Care Regiman?
Has anyone used the Neutrogena Advanced 3 step acne system?? Did it work for you?Neutrogena Advanced Acne Skin Care Regiman?
Anything I've ever tried from Neutrogena has burned my face and left it feeling irritated and raw. Steer clear. Neutrogena has some of the worst products out there.
Do a search for 'lavender oil acne' in Yahoo Answers where I give a solution for acne problems that worked for me and has left me with no scarring or irritation.Neutrogena Advanced Acne Skin Care Regiman?
well it does clear up skin and it works but the thing i hate is that once your finished using it you start breaking out again and i hate that
I never had acne until I was in my late twenties, but a lot of these product are more for younger teens skin try witch hazel
toner, and spectro gel I really like that.
I work for Neutrogena. To give an unbiased opinion, try a walgreens.com or cvs.com or epinions.com website to hear from opinions from thousands of users.
I haven't used that but I love Proactiv Solution. It works so good on my skin. I couldn't live without it.
You will probably break out quite a bit at first - but if you stick it out, it will get better, its just your pores getting cleaned out. Also, if you notice that the Neutrogena tends to dry you out only use it once a day, or every other day. I try other things, and still tend to go back to using Proactiv.
The first answer above is correct about the sunburn look. That happend to me also. Even when I use the regular Neutrogena soap.
My sister used it. It irritated her skin and made her look like she got sunburned.

Does the Proactive skin care solution work?
The commerical with Jessica Simpson or Jennifer Love Hewitt. It's an 3 step acne solution, and I think the only place you can buy it is on the TV. Since it's only 20.00$ compared to the 75$ solutions in stores, I was wondering if it was worth ordering off the TVDoes the Proactive skin care solution work?
NO!
Dont get it...my cousin got it and he had to do the kit everyday, or he would get MAJOR breakouts. It doesnt help it just makes your skin addicted to it, so you keep buying it.Does the Proactive skin care solution work?
It didnt work for my fiance though I havent tried it. You should try seeing a dermatologist. Those medications like generics are real cheap work really well. And if you have very stubborn acne your docter may prescribe a antibiotic to help stubborn baceteria thats resisting the meds. I only know this because my fiance has severe acne and the antibiotics where only $6.00 and the acually face solution the docter prescribe was $1.00. Of course you'll probally spend more on Differn or Retin-A but they do have generics for these that work the same and are affordable.
Acnefree is better in my opinion. Its about 20 dollars and its at Wal-Mart, Walgreens, and Target. Its a 3 step process too but U don't have 2 do all that ordering and shipping and stuff. I use it. Its great.

i have heard from friends that all it does is make your skin dry but others have said it works. i would say go for something less costly. i tried it and it did not work so i would say no.
i love it!!! And I do not use all the time either. I get it shipped to my house twice a year, and that is enough to get me through.
My cousin tried it and it worked, but she stopped using it and her acne came right back within days.
it didnt work for me try the nutragena ID or clean and clear advatnage control kit
not for me it dident
it worked 4 my frend but not 4 me

What products can I use on very sensitive skin for cleaning and care?
My skin is very sensitive and will react badly to almost any product. There has to be something out there for me other than tap water? What products can I use on very sensitive skin for cleaning and care?
Hi ive qualified in health and beauty maybe i can help. I also have very sensitive skin definately AVOID any stimulation such as steaming or a harsh exfoliant this will irritate and cause redness. I tend 2 use demalogica sensitive products or garnier(in the pink bottles) if ur on a tight budget. keep cleansing, toning and moisturiser morning and night but wen it cums 2 using ur weekly exfoliant go 4 something like st ives scrub its brilliant make sure u get the sensitive one. for anymore advise visit ur local beauty salon/specialist 4 a consultation.
having ultra sensitive skin doesnt mean u have a disease lol u just have 2 b extra careful, if there is still irritation id advise u 2 c a doctor or skin specialist.
hope i have helped
xWhat products can I use on very sensitive skin for cleaning and care?
i use tescos face wash for sensitive skin and that is very mild, i also use the simple range and that is very mild. try these!!
Have you tried the aveeno products with soy??? I've got sensitive skin too and these work for me!
See a dermatologist and make sure you don't have an allergy or other condition that you don't want to make worse and ask him or her to recommend products that will help protect your skin. In general look for things with as few ingredients as possible and soothing ingredients like oatmeal.
Cetaphil!
I have really sensitive skin too and have found...
Best moisturiser: E45 lotion. Its fragrance-free and really light on your skin.
Best cleanser: Clearasil scrub- so soft on the skin and not harsh like other cleansers.
I also like Avon facial scrub blackhead remover which is also very effective and not too grainy.
Try organic and non-perfumed products such as:
Jurlique
Caudalie, and
Dr Hauschka - this one is probably the best. Madonna even uses it!
Steam regularly. Don't poke or extract your blackheads harshly like there is no tomorrow. i do believe that we have the same, oily to combination skin type, especially around our T-Zone. It is interesting for people to think that avoiding creams can help solve oily skin. But its wrong. You just have to find the right-based cream. Cream and Water-based works best for skin like ours. Veer away from oil based creams during day time, you can use them during the night.
You can best help your skin if you do the 3-step facial regimen: wash, tone and moisturize. Washing helps remove dust that accumulated on the surface of the skin, toning provides additional cleaning as well as it preps the skin by removing dead skin cells that can just block healthy cells' absorption of the third step, the moisturizer.
The key is to be able to find the right product to help you with your problem. I can suggest the brand: Mario Badescu. They have a line of products that really is good for our type of skin, I personally recommend the Enzyme Cleansing Wash, Cucumber Toner and the best HONEY MOISTURIZER. If you use these products, they don't have the same ''stretched-dry-skin'; that other products leave. This is often the misconception of people, that dryness and no oil means clean skin. What Mario Badescu does is gently and effectively clean it. Plus they're natural.
For additional cleaning and maintenance on acne, try their DRYING LOTION pink stuff that you put on your pimples which dries it, ACNE GEL, which serves as your drying lotion maintenance during day time. To Remove black marks that are left by acne, use their GLYCOLIC WASH and BUFFER LOTION. Check out their line of products online. I dont work for them, its just that they really work and i would like to share it with you.
Cetaphil works wonders. It moisturizes and is safe for everyday use. It comes as a cleanser and a moisturizer which won't clog pores.
Good Luck
i was told my my derm. to use dove soap, if you havent used it yet.
tap water? like you just use water and nothing else because you're so sensitive?..

What things do i need to do to help my skin care?
what are some things that i need to stay away from if i am trying to get radiant skin while using skinid???like do i have to completely have to ignore sweets???What things do i need to do to help my skin care?
No, you don't have to completely ignore sweets. But keeping them to a minimum will help along with cutting back fried foods and sodas.
1. Sulfur soap, black soap, and oatmeal soap are really good
for blemishes and acne and easy on the pockets
2. Drink lots of water
3. Facial Scrubs %26amp; face masks once a week
St.Ives Apricot scrub is really good
4. Use a good toner and oil-free moisturizer for your face
5. Use a good sunblock, I like using Neutrogena
If you want more info you can check out the Golden Goddess skin group for great advice.

Anyone have any good make-up/skin care tips?
Does anyone have any useful make-up/skin care tips?? i have an oily complexion on my nose and forehead. and i want something that can help me get rid of acne and stuff on my face and make-up tips. do you put eyeliner on the top lid or do you line the bottom lid?? what colour goes well with brown eyes? foundation? bronzer? PLEASE answer my questions!!! thankyouu!!Anyone have any good make-up/skin care tips?
For the acne you should try a skin cleanser that has Saylicilic Acid in it, it will help clear up the acne and keep your pores clean. I use a Biore pore cleansing face wash (green with exfoliating beads)
I have an oily complexion as well and the foundation that works for me is called CoverGirl TruBlend whipped foundation. It goes on like a cream and smoothes out to a powder finish. If you would like to try it I would also reccomend Bare Minerals (I can't use it b/c I had an allergic reaction to an ingredient). Bare Minerals gives great coverage and the powder helps with the oily skin, it's also light and healthy for your skin which will help keep your pores clean.
I use eyeshadow for my eyeliner normally. I use a thin shadow brush and line the top lid (without going past the eye to create wings). I also use the brush and line the bottom lash line starting from the outside corner and going about 3/4 of the way in.
You are lucky you have brown eyes, because you can wear any color to match them. However you want to go with the color of your skin tone. I have an olive complexion so i use a lot of warmer colors. Just try experiementing with lots of colors and see what you like. Also a good tip, and something I do, is to use a darker color on the outside and crease of the eyelid and then use a lighter shade of that color for the inside of the eye, it creates great dimension!
You can use bronzer if you like, or you can use blush. I wouldn't suggest using both. If you are going to use a bronzer do not over apply it because you want your face to match the skin tone of the rest of your body lol!!! If you decide to use blush a nice light pink is always cute and natural looking. Or you could decide to use a color closer to your skin tone, like a light golden tan blush. Again it depends on your preference. Just experiment and have fun with it.
If you want some hands on teaching go to a makeup counter in the department store or a Sephora and get a beauty consultation. Or if you like get some girlfriends together and have an old school slumber party with make-overs!!!! Make-up is fun, don't forget that, just have fun!!!!Anyone have any good make-up/skin care tips?
for the oil- rice paper and loose powder like bare minerals. for the acne try pro active or the liquid make up that's for acne (usually located by acne washes). i put liner on the top and bottom it opens up your eyes, and i prefer the pencil not liquid. brown eyes are good with earthy colors, browns and greens, even purple. bronzer is good as long as you get the right color otherwise it will make you look dirty blush is a good choice too light pinks nothing too extravagant! oh and palladio is the best eyeliner, if you live near a Sally's Beauty they have it there along with the bare minerals!
Proactive is a really really good thing to use if you have oily skin/breakouts sometimes. I've been using proactive just because it makes my skin look better (and it makes it a lot softer too) As far as make-up goes BareMinerals is great make-up if you don't want to wear too much but you want to look fresh and pretty. If you go into any ULTA make-up store and ask them to help you find the right shade and stuff, they totally will. Eyeliner: if your a beginner in the make-up department then you should only put eyeliner on the LOWER LID. brown eyes? Brown in good:) so is a deep purple color, it makes eyes stand out. Foundation: BareMinerals. Bronzer: ULTA, just ask anyone to help you and they will.
Good luck
I know make-up is a hard thing.
but its totally worth it if you do it right.
Try a light oil free cleanser. Neutrogena has some nice ones. As for eye liner. Never put it on both top and bottom, it looks horrid and makes your eyes seem tiny. A neat trick is to only line half of your bottom lid, stopping about mid pupil, it will make your eyes look huge and bright. Use a blue eyeliner with brown eyes, it will be very pretty. Never use black, its to drastic. I like to line my bottom lid with the eyeshadow I am wearing that day, it looks nice and kinda gives a smokey eyes effect, but not as dark. Maybelline has a nice foundation, its the Pure collection. Its great for teenage skin. Its made with water and has no oils. They also have a concealer with salicylic acid in it to help get rid of those blemishes even faster. And a no shine powder that is really light. Stay away from mineral make-up it just makes your skin look greasy, like Halloween make up. Bronzer depends on your skin shade, I'm a really pale pink/ivory, so I don't use any, I use blush, but if you have a more tan skin tone, its looks good.
If you have oily skin try the biore line of moisturizers. There's one that combats shine and it works really well. I also use proacticve which works great for acne. I usually put eyeliner on both lash lines but some people only put it on the top. Lots of colors go great with brown eyes. I like purple especially. Just make sure you use a shade of purple that has some shimmer. If you use a matte shade it might look like a bruise. For younger people I like tinted moisturizer better than foundation. It looks fresher. sometimes i don't wear it at all. But if you want to, look for a mineral foundation. Bronzer is like blush. Just brown. Do that last so the bronzer wont be too much with the rest of your makeup. and put it on places the sun touches. (bridge of nose, forehead cheekbones temples)
Definitely want to treat your skin gently. Get a gentle exfoliator scrub (Aveeno make a good one), use an oil free moisturizer. My round eyes are medium size, so I only line on top lashes. Opens up my eyes. For brown eyes, you basically can use any color. If you skin is darker, black e/l will look classy, if you are more fair-medium, try a dark grey, brown, eggplant color. Even a navy will be great on you.
Foundation is fine if you find a good match for your skin and your skintype. Same for Bronzer - use a little if it works for your skin.
to solve ur acne try white and only white tooth paste! it really works it dries them all out but after they r dried out put conditioner on it i know it sounds funny but ur skin will look beautiful after a week or 2 maybe even days!
makeup tips:
don't over put eyeshadow or blush
only put eyeshadow on eyelid and under ur eyebrows but closer the the eyelid
and after u put lipstick try and put lip gloss
and for eyeliner if u used mascara u really dont need eyeliner it looks to dark
and like a bronze color looks beautiful with brown eyes
and try not to use foundation unless u really need to and try to use mineral foundation it works the best and doesnt clog ur pores
ask me for pics on makeup suggestions if u need any
cold water.
its simple just wash ur face daily with a good medician soap
I have the same skin as you, and the first thing is no matter how healthy and organic your makeup is, if you have the wrong skin care regime, it wont work. this is what I use and it works great and I always get compliments:
cleanser: Dove Beauty Bar Sensitive Skin (it is so plain jane, but makes your face beautiful, don't use cleansers with scrubbers - they pull at your skin causing more breakouts) after you wash your face, dry it off and use Clean %26amp; Clear Persa Gel. do this twice a day
moisturizer: now, the Dove and Persa Gel will prob. dry you out, but I use Nivea Soft Refreshing Moisturizing Cr猫me, and it doesn鈥檛 break me out.
eyeliner: for a daytime look, brown liner on the bottom lid is good, but black is also pretty. I use black liner on both my top and bottom lid so its up to you how comfortable you feel.
eye shadow that goes with brown eyes: shimmery golds, shimmery purples, matte darker greens, and yes, brown. be sure to use a bone colored shimmery shadow on your brow bone and at the corners of your eyes for a bright eyed look.
foundation: MAC StudioFix Fluid. It is medium to full coverage, wont make you look cakey and lasts all day. Make sure to use their concealer however, and apply it after you have put on the foundation,
powder: MAC Minerlize SkinFinish
bronzer: Covergirl TruBlend in Golden Sunrise.
and one more tip: use different brushes for each powder/foundation/concealer and wash them every night with Dial Hand soap (its active ingredient is Triclosan which is used in some face cleaners) that will also really help your face.
good luck =)
make up is bad! organic is goodskin disease

eye shadow that goes with brown eyes: shimmery golds, shimmery purples, matte darker greens, and yes, brown. be sure to use a bone colored shimmery shadow on your brow bone and at the corners of your eyes for a bright eyed look.
foundation: MAC StudioFix Fluid. It is medium to full coverage, wont make you look cakey and lasts all day. Make sure to use their concealer however, and apply it after you have put on the foundation,
powder: MAC Minerlize SkinFinish
bronzer: Covergirl TruBlend in Golden Sunrise.
and one more tip: use different brushes for each powder/foundation/concealer and wash them every night with Dial Hand soap (its active ingredient is Triclosan which is used in some face cleaners) that will also really help your face.
good luck =)
make up is bad! organic is good

I used ';clear pore'; by neutrogena, i use it since i was 15, and got thru the acne period safe, I even had a girlfriend that told me once she wanted to have her face skin like mine. So, you could try it, i used once or twice per day, I'm 25, and stopped using it about a year ago to see what happened, and i think i passed the pimples and acne stage.
K first go to http://youravon.com/ulam then click on the free shipping special and type in Clearskin庐 Professional Acne Treatment System in the search box. That is like proactive except cheaper and works better and is on sale. If your skin is oily then search for ';magix face perfector'; in the search box, that will remove your oily skin and give you really smooth and balance skin, you can wear it alone or under make up. Avon sell a whole bunch of foundations and really cheap too, so if you want to buy foundations type in foundation in the search box and a whole bunch will come out for you to choose from. You will look prettier on the first day using it so try it out. Again there's a free shipping special so buy it now or it might be gone soon.

Does anybody know which brand for skin care for acne scars works better Mederma,Scar Zone or any other creams.
Best over the counter products for acne scars. Someone that knows please.Does anybody know which brand for skin care for acne scars works better Mederma,Scar Zone or any other creams.
I have never had acne but I have had mosquito bite scars. My sister recommended BIO OIL which she was uses for her acne scars and they were clear in 2 weeks! You can get it at the chemist. Pricey, but it really does work so it's worth it.Does anybody know which brand for skin care for acne scars works better Mederma,Scar Zone or any other creams.
I can't see the kind of acne scars that you have, but if they are the 'usual' kind of acne scars these meds will not do what you are looking for. A Dermatology MD can prescribe several kinds of pads with meds in them and also, if needed for BAD acne, can do dermabrasion on them.
i would say mederma. talk to your doctor or dermatologist and let them know you want over the counter and inexpencive.
I am biased toward Arbonne products because I'm a consultant, but my daughter has had great results with their Rejuvinating Cream on her surgical scars. We had tried Maderma and saw no change at all.
omg i have scar zone and i have been using it for a year, it doesnt work at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
trust me!

Does mixing skin care products improve result?
Just a little curious. I have moderate to severe acne, but also combination skin and a little bit of uneven skintone. So i'm looking through all my different cleansers and wondering if mixing them all up would be good. Or would it have an opposite affect...?
Also, just throwing it out there, what's you favorite skin care product? :)Does mixing skin care products improve result?
Despite popular thinking, there's no reason not to enjoy facials even if your skin is sensitive. The trick is in how the facial is done and also how you treat your skin after the fact. With the right combination, you can enjoy facials without irritating your skin at all.
I鈥檓 not sure how serious you are about this, but here鈥檚 an article that I found on the subject. It will probably help you more than I could.
Ageless.

What is the best way to take care of pale skin?
So it's 90 degree's! And I'm dying my pale skin is tomato and starting to brown :(
does spf mean NO Tanning?
i use an spf + apply it in heaps but it doesn't seem to work :(
basically i want to keep pale WITHOUT tanning! what can i do?What is the best way to take care of pale skin?
SPF just extends the time you can be under the sun before your tan or start to burn. It doesn't completely prevent tanning or block the sun's rays 100%.
You need to stay out of the sun as much as possible %26amp; consider wearing sun protective clothing which is tightly woven %26amp; specially treated. One brand is Solumbra. http://www.sunprecautions.com/
You should also wear broad sunglasses to protect your eyes %26amp; the delicate skin around your eyes.
Consuming foods (i.e. tomatoes, berries) %26amp; drinks (i.e. green tea) high in anti-oxidants will help your body heal the damage from sun exposure. What is the best way to take care of pale skin?
Use sunblock. Go for 45 - 50 SPF. It's important to get sun BLOCK, not a sunscreen. Apply it at least 30 minutes before you go outside. And try to avoid the sun as much as you can.
S.P.F. means you would have to re-apply the sunscreen, lets say if you have and S.P.F. of 15, you would have to re-apply every 15 minutes. It doesn't mean you can't tan [and I would not recommend tanning because you can get skin cancer that way]. Just buy a sun screen with an S.P.F. of 50+ so you wouldn't have to keep re-applying it! NEVER GO TO TANNING BEDS! =]
No, SPF does not mean ';no tanning';. But it is still very important, especially for sensitive fair skin.
However, wearing a hat that shades your face will keep your skin from tanning completely. Without sun-exposure, you won't tan. But of course, it's not like you can stay home all day. So wearing a wide brimmed hat is great. It's fashionable and functionable, even in the city.
And there is always the ';stay out of the sun'; idea if you want to give that a try. ;-D
I hope I could help!

What's the best way to take care of your skin if you are a guy?
Hey guys
Lately i've been using a mens moisturizer.. usually after showering or shaving.. but every time I use it i usually get a small acne breakout a couple days later which is a pain. My skin is usually very good, and this only happens when i use the moisturizer. I tried a less oil based one but same result. Anyone else have this happen? Ideas? What's the best way to take care of your skin if you are a guy?
There was a time when skin care for men meant worrying about their zits, combing their hair, and splashing on some musky aftershave lotion. A guy might sneak a look at himself in a store window if he thought no one was looking, but anything more than that was a sign of excessive vanity.
The good news for guys is that they are now much freer to pay attention to their skin and its appearance, and that gives them a better chance to keep their skin healthy. It also allows them to join women in an obsessive, even masochistic pursuit of physical perfection -- and to spend thousands of dollars on Botox treatments, hair removal (or transplantation), and facials in the process. Skin treatments, cosmetic products, and even cosmetic surgery are now, for better or worse, a man's domain too.
';Men are now getting facials. Men get their backs waxed. We see plenty of men doing laser hair removal on their backs,'; says David Green, MD, assistant clinical professor of dermatology at Howard University Hospital in Washington, DC. ';Men are getting Botox treatments at a much higher rate than you imagine.';
Vested interests aside, dermatologists see the overall trend as positive. ';The health of [men's] skin matters,'; Green says. ';Taking care of one's skin will reduce the incidence of skin problems.';
Too much ultraviolet exposure from the sun, for example, can result in premature wrinkles, broken blood vessels, permanent ruddiness, and rough, scaly skin, Green warns, and can eventually lead to skin cancer. Poor skin care can also produce or exacerbate acne, which can be disfiguring. So here's what you can do to make the most out of what you've got.
Safeguard your skin from the sun
Whether you're male or female, young or old, Public Enemy Number One of skin is the sun. The symptoms of aging skin -- wrinkles and brown spots, sagging and splotches -- all are caused or aggravated by solar exposure. ';If no one was ever exposed to the sun, we wouldn't have these problems,'; says Arielle Kauvar, MD, founding director of New York Laser %26amp; Skin Care and a clinical associate professor of dermatology at New York University School of Medicine.
Her observation also holds true for serious problems like skin cancer in its most dire form, melanoma. For various reasons, possibly including the thinning of the ozone layer, the incidence of melanoma has increased six-fold since 1950.
So what's a guy to do for protection? Wear sunglasses and keep your skin covered during the heat of the day. Wear a hat when you're at the beach or in the sun for long periods off time. And, above all, slather on the sunscreen. Kauvar recommends choosing a sunscreen with a sun protection factor (SPF) rating of at least 20 that has broad spectrum UVB and UVA coverage. ';Men of Celtic extraction -- red hair, green eyes, very little melanin in skin -- have to be even more vigilant about sun exposure, because they have a greater risk of sun damage, skin cancer, and melanoma,'; says Green.
And when should you wear sunscreen? ';Every day of the year,'; Kauvar says.
Be kind to your face and skin
Although men generally pay less attention to their skin than women do, they actually have some advantages in the healthy skin department. Male skin tends to be thicker, oilier, with larger pores and less tendency to wrinkle until late in life than women's skin. That's partly because men have more testosterone circulating in their bodies, says Green. Facial hair also helps the male face resist some of the ravages of aging, because the hair follicles and oil glands make it more resilient and self-lubricating, Kauvar points out.
But these advantages can be offset in men who have a tendency toward facial abuse: Some put sunscreen on their bodies but not their faces. They use harsh detergent soap that dries out their skin. They shave in the wrong direction. If they get a little acne, they squeeze and pop. So be gentle, guys.
Go with the grain -- and other fine points of shaving
Experts agree: Shaving against the grain is a bad idea. It can rough up your face and increase the chances of ingrown hair, especially for African American men and others whose facial hair is curly. Do your shaving after you shower, when your skin is really moist. Lather up well; don't shave dry. Rinse out the razor frequently to dislodge the bits of whisker that get lodged between blades -- this will help prevent nicking your face. And did we mention going with the grain? (OK, if you're really obsessive and there's a special occasion and you just HAVE to get a super-close shave, you can minimize the risks of shaving against the grain by first shaving with it. That way you reduce the density of the hair you're trying to cut before you go back against the grain and lop off those last bits of stubble. But don't make this a habit.)
Please don't squeeze the pimples
Yeah, we know, pimples look, well, dorky, and have a way of making grown men (and women) feel like they're in high school again. But squeezing or popping them is a bad idea. Here's what the American Academy of Dermatology has to say on the subject: ';Do not pick, scratch, pop, or squeeze pimples yourself. When pimples are squeezed, more redness, swelling, inflammation, and scarring may result.';
Contrary to popular opinion, pimples are not directly caused by a bad diet or by dirty skin, although they can be aggravated by humid weather and how you wash your face. The widely cited culprits include hormonal changes and certain medications like antidepressants and hormones. But washing too often or too vigorously can make things worse. Best advice: Ride out the occasional pimple and remember it will be gone soon. If you get them often, consult your family doctor or a dermatologist. Skin conditions such as acne or rosacea are relatively common in adults, and your doctors can often suggest or prescribe medications that can help.
Try a little tenderness
Healthy skin is moist, not dry. Yet many guys choose soaps that suck moisture from the skin like a desert sun at high noon. ';Men want to be manly and use Irish Spring soap everywhere,'; says Kauvar. But it and most other bar soaps -- such as Dial, Lever, and even Ivory -- are really detergents and are ';terrible for the skin,'; she says.
Green is a bit more tolerant: he says most guys can get away with using soap -- unless they have sensitive skin. If they do, he warns, a mild non-soap cleanser is just what the doctors ordered. (Some dermatologists advise men to use soap only to wash the groin and armpits.)
As we age, our skin is slower to slough off old, dead skin cells and tends to become dull and less luminous. Exfoliating the skin -- removing the old layers of dead skin cells -- can help maintain a youthful glow.
Chemical exfoliants are lotions or creams that contain ingredients like alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs), beta-hydroxy acids (BHAs) or vitamin A products. These work well for some people, though they can be very irritating for those with sensitive skin. You can also use a physical exfoliant, a scrub that contains tiny bits of gritty material such as ground-up almond shells or tiny synthetic grains. Abrasive sponges like loofahs may also help smooth the skin.
Last, but not least: Pay attention to changes in your skin
Unfortunately, a lot of men don't tend to pay close attention to their skin, notes Kauvar. That means they can miss important changes such as an oddly shaped mole that might be a sign of skin cancer. Her advice: ';If you have a new mole, a changing mole, or a new growth, have it checked if it lasts longer than a month -- especially if it's bleeding or sore.';What's the best way to take care of your skin if you are a guy?
Sounds like a reaction to the product. There are lots of hypoallergeic products out there. Try Eucerin products. My detmotologist recommends it. Also Cepacol products.

For professionals only... or if you are very very smart... can you help me with a skin care question?
I co-own a day spa %26amp; salon and we are looking for a secondary skin care line to offer our clients. We have a great one now, but would like to provide more options. We are looking into Dr. Renaud skin care line, but it's a bit pricey. Do any of you have any suggestions on a good, professional skin care line I should try for my spa?For professionals only... or if you are very very smart... can you help me with a skin care question?
I'm not a professional....I'm not sure what you classify you as being very, very smart but I have an option for you. I know of a salon that carries Arbonne products. They give tremendous results!! I have worked with many people that see a noticeable difference in just a couple days. The anti-aging skin care line and the before/after photos are incredible. I also know of some plastic surgeon offices that carry the products. There are nine anti-aging elements in it: Bio-Hydria complex, nanospheres infused with free radical fighting antioxidants, vitamin C, magnesium ascorbyl phospate, elhibin %26amp; stimu-tex, alpha lipoic acid, kojic acid, copper, alpha %26amp; beta hydroxy acids, and peptides. Laura Mercier. It's a must have for every woman. Absolutly wonderful product hands down.
However!!!!!! I am not sure how it works to sell, you'll probably have to contact someone from her line, her products are only sold at fine retailers.
Give it a shot, can't hurt to try!
Or, possibly AVON (again, not sure how selling rights work, but Avon is indeed easier than fine lines), I'm not a huge Avon fan, but a lot of women love it. Mary Kay is another one you could try.
I've always loved Dermalogica, many salons I've worked in have carried it. They have a line that covers both young and mature skin.
I recently bought (online) DHC and I'm very impressed, don't know if they have a retail option, but it is newish and not too pricey.
I like that you are considering price, I've worked in salons where they thought the most expensive must be the best, and had trouble talking clients into buying product.... in all but the most affluent neighborhoods, clients put a lot of expectation on an expensive product.
I always joked the the best product is one that clients are willing to buy and use.....
I am an Independent Consultant and District Manager with Arbonne International. I can honestly tell you that our products are amazing! I had acne skin and would get it really bad around certain times of the month. Since I've started using the Arbonne products my skin has never been softer and the acne has improved considerably. The difference between Arbonne and all other products is that all of our products are pure, safe, and beneficial for your skin, inside and out. We use only the purest ingredients from nature. We combine the best of science and nature. All of our products are botanically-based, hypoallergenic, pH correct, do not contain mineral oils-which are detrimental to your skin, we do not have any chemical dyes or fragrances-all of our fragrances come from the plant extracts and essential oils, they are not tested on animals, or have animal products or by-products. I would love to discuss our products with you further. Please feel free to contact me!
Dermalogica is great. But also AVEDA, is amazing, the thing with Aveda is that , they only sell to specific Salons and Spa's. More upper class style, they refuse to sell to suburban stores.

Was animal testing done to produce obagi system skin care products?
I would go to the Obagi website and find a way to contact them...by the way, I worked in a skin care clinic and we stopped carrying Obagi because it was too expensive and too many steps. I'm now using Ginvera skin care product, but it seems done nothing to my oily skin on my ';T'; zone face, especially my nose because my nose have a lot an big blackhead and very oily. I leave my blackhead alone because i scare if i use pore strip, it will damage my skin.

Use a cleanser and toner twice a day for oily skin. Clarins do a good one.
Use an exfoliating cream once a week, decleor phytopeel is brilliant.
After cleansing and toning apply a moisturiser for oily skin, clarins or clinique do good ones.
once a week use a clay based mask to draw impurities from your skin.
Once a week apply a biore nose strip, they are excellent and they don't damage your skin.
Hope this helps. How to take care of combination skin?

i have t-zone oily skin and prone to breakouts and acne. Every foundation i used seemed to create an oil sesspool of grossness. Then i started using Prescriptives. I wash my face with a regular acne cleanser then i use this toner called immediate matte from Prescriptives. It cleans your pores from the stuff that cleansers leave behind then i apply a serum called Xtreme line preventor from Prescrip., then i skip moisterizer when i want my my makeup to stay on and not get oily, I use the matte foundation from Prescritpives. Since starting this routine my face is clear of breakouts. The makeup looks fab stays on no oilies, and the serum just makes the makeup stay on its like a primer and its packed with alll this good stuff, i love it!!!!!What is your skin care routine? What skin type do you have?
I have dry skin (lack of sebum/oil) not to be confused with dehydrated skin (lack of water).
I use a good mild cleanser in the morning and evening.
I exfoliate 2x a week.
I use a moisturizer after cleansing.
I apply sunblock.
To even out my skin tone by getting rid of sun spots and blemishes i use papaya kojic and licorice base soap and cream which are available online. These work wonders.
Maybe it will work on you too.

How can i care for new skin?
I just had a burn and the dried skin of the burn has peeled off, leaving new skin. It is a pinkish tone. How can i care for it and not irritate or damage it?How can i care for new skin?
Neosporin might help it heal a little better. Don't cover it with a bandaid though, the new skin needs to breathe.
After about 6 weeks, you can start using something like Maderma.
I had two moles removed that left very obviou pink scars. I started using Maderma and it has actually made the scar look more skin toned. How can i care for new skin?
This best thing is to get an aloe plant and cut the leaves open and sqeeze the gel onto the area directly. It is a bit sticky, but it will help heal and repair most damage. If you can't get the plant itself, get aloe gel or an aloe creme in the organic section of Freds or Target. One big thing to check for is that the creme does not have a heavy scent, because that means it has a lot of chemicals that can hurt the skin more.
if u want care for ur skin than use the cream products it good for u more information http://www.skincarefairy.com

What skin care products does Paris Hilton use?
She has always got the most amazing skin. Really soft looking %26amp; flawless, she never ever seems to have a single spot/blemish. I'm so jealous!!
Any ideas what products she uses? xWhat skin care products does Paris Hilton use?
Hi I wouldnt be jelous of her as for one thing her skin looks like wax and its really shiny, and she has the money too buy loads of different make up and she had the make up artist to do it for her, I was looking the other day at celebs without any make up on and there skin is so bad, even the make up we have on the highstreet wouldnt cover it, so god knows how they do it. I think they apply like a white mask and then go over with the foundation to get it looking that smooth and perfect.
Dont go comparing yourself to someone who has all the money in the world. What skin care products does Paris Hilton use?
i was on this thing last night and it said she only put on cream 3 types a day (yea right paris) i think she puts on loads of foundation and here is a tip put a lighter shade of foundation on your eyes will give a really bright look. concealer helps too, as she has her own range for her and her only. i herd that every time she gets a blemish she has plastic face surgery and has another fake back. (ps never listen to theses things on the telly )
Yes she uses a product called photoshop.
The brush tool really gives you flawless skin.
she uses Kate Somerville skincare and MAC makeup. (i saw it on this TV show about celebs, lol) good luck!
Goat urine, honestly!
She gets ppl to do her makeup for her... professionally

Anyone here use clinique skin care products? or neutrogena?
i have blemiishes and was told to use either clinique or neutrogena,
what should i do?Anyone here use clinique skin care products? or neutrogena?
I only use Clinique now, mainly because they are 100% allergy tested %26amp; i have sensitive skin, if you go to a clinique counter they will match you with the right products %26amp; have recently introduced anti blemish solutions, they are a bit more expensive but the bottles are bigger so overall i don't think there is much price differenceAnyone here use clinique skin care products? or neutrogena?
Clinique skincare products are great. I have been using them for about 5 years and I have had clear skin since. I used to have awful spots but not since I started using Clinique. The makeup remover, toner and moisturising cream are fab and you can buy mini sizes from http://www.beautyparlor.co.uk to try them out. Enjoy!
my mum uses clinique she had really greasy skin but this sorted it out. They do different ranges for different skin types so they will find the right products for you to use. You could definately notice a real difference with my mum so hopefully it should work for you too. Clinique do makeup as well so they will be able to recommend what will compliment your skin best
Neutrogena is great and cheaper than Clinique I have used both. You can also combine both. I use the neutrogena face bar soap and it is great for oily skin, I use the clinique moisturizer after wards. the problem is that the moisturizer doesn't have any spf.
I use clinique
After a couple of weeks it has really balanced out my skin
It doesn't work right away though but after a while you see a big difference in your skin
It can be expensive though!
Try Myer (Assuming you're from Australia), they usually give out free samples (I've been living off them for 3 months)
Please answer mine :)

Clinique, it's more expensive but it's better quality. If YOU find it's not working after a few weeks or you have serious acne, don't keep buying it, that's a waste of money, instead get your docter to prescribe something.
i use clinique now i use the tinted moisturiser and i love it there products feel lovely on your skin. they do it in debhanams well worth the money and also they will test it on you and match best to your skin and needs.
neutrogena is really good, but i dont use it too often because for me i find it expensive, i also use boots own brand stuff because i find that really good too.
I use the Clinique Acne Solutions Cleansing Foam with toner 3 and the Moisturizing Gel---and I LOVE the results! I've been using it for 3 years now and RARELY get a breakout.
clinique without a doubt :)X

Which is the best skin care product for acne?
i want one that doesnt cause me to break out again if i run out or dont use it for like two or three days or something. nd i dont want one that makes my face rly dry nd oily! i heard proactiv doesnt work so dont put that. thx =bWhich is the best skin care product for acne?
There are plenty of good acne medications. The best thing would be to see a dermatologist because they know which medications are best for different skin types. When they give you a prescription make certain you ask for samples before you fill the prescription because if it does not work or it is too drying you will not have spent the money on the prescription.Which is the best skin care product for acne?
Dangit, until i read the last part of your question, i was going to put proactiv.
Proactiv worked tremendously well on me, and kept it away. I now have hardly any trouble in terms of breaking out, and i don't use any acne kits or anything anymore.
One other thing that works is Acnefree-severe, even if it's not severe. You can find it at a local rite aid, or walmart. Maybe even a GNC. I used that also, and had amazing results. It doesn't leave your skin dry, but it does tighten the face a little, which i loved the feeling of.

Max-Well Supplements
At Max-Well, our goal is to help re-introduce the essential minerals and trace elements needed by our bodies, but found in ever-decreasing amounts in the foods we eat. We would rather get the nutrients we need through food. However, until farming practices are improved to include currently missing minerals, we offer an inexpensive alternative.
Where can we find a fully balanced source of minerals which are in a form readily available to the body? In our oceans, where all 72 natural minerals occur in the same basic proportions as blood plasma.
Think about it! Why did God make the balance of minerals in our oceans to be the same balance as in blood and chlorophyll (plant blood)? Could it be that He did so on purpose, giving us a perfectly balanced mineral supplement?
Blood plasma is actually 1/4 strength sea water.
Some hospitals have actually used ocean water for blood transfusions.
We use evaporation to reduce 100 gallons of ocean water down to 1 gallon. In the process, 98.5% of the sodium naturally crystallizes and is removed. With Max-Well, you can get the minerals from the sea in a pure, concentrated ionic form, readily assimilated by the body!

GUIDELINES FOR TAKING MAX-WELL MINERAL SUPPLEMENTS
Mix 1 teaspoon of a Max-Well mineral supplement product with 3 to 6 oz. fruit juice or chocolate milk, and drink during or after your evening meal, or in the evening before bed. Do not take on an empty stomach, since it may result in nausea. Do not take without diluting. When you mix the herbal products with another liquid, make sure and take them right away. Within two minutes after mixing, the herbs will start to lose their potency.
For the first 2 or 3 days, consider taking a half dose to allow your body time to adjust. If you are sick, you might want to build up to half a dose 4 times a day. Should you get diarrhea, it is an indication that you need to back off on the amount of sea minerals you are taking.
Children may take Max-Well mineral supplements at a rate of 1 drop per every four pounds of body weight. For instance, a 12 lb. infant will take 3 drops, and a 60 lb. child will take 15 drops.
Pets: 1 drop per two pounds of weight per day. Mix it in their drinking water, or with their food, if the food isn’t dry food. Young pets, 1 drop per 4 lbs. per day.
Our Ionic Sea Minerals are bitter, but fortunately they don’t leave much of an after taste. After taking a Max-Well mineral supplement, drink a swallow or two of something to wash the bitter taste from your mouth.
Do not refrigerate Sea Minerals. Store at room temperature. An 8 oz. bottle of Sea Minerals is a 48 day supply. They have at least a 5 year shelf life. The adult dose is one teaspoon for an individual weighing around 150 pounds. Consider adjusting the dose up or down to match your weight (i.e. 2 teaspoons for 300 pounds).
Lifestyle changes to consider when taking our Herbal products
To gain the most benefit from our herbal Sea Mineral products (especially important if you are battling a disease), follow these directives:
• Avoid Smoking or Alcohol. Alcohol destroys our herbs on contact.
• Avoid Soy products (e.g. soy milk, tofu, etc.) or soy ingredients, unless fermented. Soy products put an additional strain on the liver. Your liver is an important key to your wellness.
• Avoid Micro-waved Food or Drinks. Microwaves produce free radicals. Since the immune system must work hard to get rid of these, it will be distracted from fighting disease and infection.
• Avoid Fluoride Toothpaste and chlorinated and fluoridated water. Chlorine, Bromine and Fluorine are all -1 in charge, and tend to substitute themselves for much needed iodine.
• Lower sugar intake to a minimum. If fighting a disease, cut out sweets altogether. It is reported that twelve teaspoons of sugar will knock out 95% of the immune system for 12 hours.
• When fighting a disease, avoid red meat. This includes beef, veal, ham, bacon, mutton, lamb, sausages and pork. These are an added strain on the liver. Chicken and fish are okay.
• Eat at least 4 servings of fresh fruit and vegetables every day, or drink freshly made fruit and vegetable juices – use any combination of organic carrots, apples, cabbage, lettuce, celery and other fruits and vegetables. Drink as much as you like.

MY TESTIMONIAL
My name is Patrick M. Keeley in the short time that I and my family have used the Max-Well Supplements, Sea Minerals Water, and AG Life lines of products we have experienced a dramatic upswing in all of our overall health, wellness, vitality, and level of energy we have at our disposal on a daily basis.
My girls describe healthier hair, thicker finger nails, clearer more healthy skin, and an almost total absence of acne. My wife, daughters, son, and myself are also all experiencing weight lose while doing nothing extra to lose the weight.
Why are we experiencing this greater wellness and vitality?
Why do we now have more energy each day than before you ask?
Well the answer is quite simple...better nutrition.
Let me share with you just a little of what I do know. After starting use of the products on a daily basis we soon saw a reduction of our appetites due to the fact that our nutritional needs are now being met. Many of us are overweight simply because we unconsciously overeat. Our bodies while trying to obtain the basic nutrients to function often are not finding the necessary nutrients in our daily diets. Then your body drives you to eat more to satisfy its need for more nutrients. The end result is your body never finds what it’s looking for, and your now thirty or fifty pounds overweight.
Most of us consume foods which are made from grains raised here in the USA. Almost all of the grains raised here are “Hybrid” varieties. Different strains of grains are cross bred to develop new strains which may have higher crop yields, resistance to drought, resistance to frost, and resistance to common insect pests. There are always trade-offs involved in these advances. With each advance the nutritional value of the grain has decreased. Now we are left with grains which have almost no nutritional value.
Most hybrids have also been genetically engineered. For instance… to increase a plant’s resistance to frost DNA from the Arctic Flounder has been spliced into the DNA of the wheat plant. Thus the end result is a wheat plant that now can be grown in colder regions than before. I hope you noticed that animal DNA is being added to plant DNA…not a good idea.
The things which our loving God has provided for our use and the nourishment of our bodies is always better than anything man can come up with…EVERYTIME.
Now “Sea Minerals Water” and “Max-Well Supplements” have closed this nutritional gap with a complete line of products designed to increase your overall wellness and health through better nutrition.
Place an order today and start experiencing the benefits a life of better health, more energy, a trimmer, and more physically fit you!
To your greater health and wellness!
Sincerely,
Patrick M. Keeley
Your busy lifestyle leaves little time for pampering skin care. The result: Your skin isn't the baby-soft body glove with which you were born. With age, your skin gradually becomes thinner and finely wrinkled. Oil-producing (sebaceous) glands grow less active leaving your skin drier. The number of blood vessels in your skin decreases, your skin becomes more fragile, and you lose your youthful color and glow.
Good skin care — such as avoiding the sun, washing your skin gently and applying moisturizer regularly — can help delay the natural aging process and prevent many skin problems. These simple skin-care habits will help you protect your skin to keep it healthy and glowing for years to come.
1. Protect yourself from the sun
The best way to take care of your skin is to protect it from the sun. Ultraviolet light — the invisible but intense rays of the sun — damages your skin, causing deep wrinkles, dry, rough skin, liver spots, and more serious disorders, such as noncancerous (benign) and cancerous (malignant) skin tumors.
For the most complete sun protection, use all three of these methods:
Avoid the sun during high-intensity hours. The sun's rays are most damaging from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Reduce the time you spend outdoors during these hours.
Wear protective clothing. Cover your skin with clothing, such as long-sleeved shirts, long pants and wide-brimmed hats. Also, keep in mind that certain clothing styles and fabrics offer better protection from the sun than do others. For example, long-sleeved shirts offer better protection than short-sleeved shirts do. And tightly woven fabrics such as denim are better than loosely woven fabrics such as knits.
Use sunscreen. Apply sunscreen liberally 20 minutes before going outdoors and reapply every two hours, after heavy sweating or after being in water.
2. Don't smoke
Smoking can accelerate the normal aging process of your skin, contributing to wrinkles. Skin changes from smoking can be seen in young adults who have been smoking for as few as 10 years.
Smoking causes narrowing of the blood vessels in the outermost layers of skin. This decreases blood flow, depleting the skin of oxygen and nutrients, such as vitamin A, that are important to skin health. All of these factors increase damage to the elastic fibers (elastin) and collagen which give your skin strength and elasticity.
In addition, the repetitive facial expressions you make when smoking — such as pursing your lips when inhaling and squinting your eyes to keep out smoke — may contribute to wrinkles. It's also possible that repeated exposure to the heat from burning cigarettes may damage your facial skin over time.
3. Wash your skin gently
Cleaning is an essential part of caring for your skin. The key is to treat your skin gently.
Use warm water and limit bath time. Hot water and long showers or baths remove oils from your skin. Limit your bath or shower time to about 15 minutes or less, and use warm, rather than hot, water.
Avoid strong soaps. Strong soaps — those most capable of stripping oil from your skin — can leave your skin dry. Instead, choose mild soaps with oils and fats added to them during the soap manufacturing process.
Avoid irritating additives. If your skin is sensitive, avoid products containing perfumes or dyes. These can irritate your skin and may trigger an allergic response.
Remove eye makeup carefully. Use a soft sponge, cotton cloth or cotton balls when removing eye makeup to avoid damaging the delicate tissue around your eyes. If you wear heavy, waterproof makeup, you may need to use an oil-based product such as petroleum jelly.
Pat dry. After washing or bathing, gently pat or blot your skin dry with a towel so that some moisture remains on the skin. Immediately moisturize your skin with an oil or cream.
4. Moisturize regularly
Moisturizers help maintain your skin's natural moisture levels. They work by providing a seal over your skin — to keep water from escaping — or by slowly releasing water into your skin.
The moisturizer that's best for you and the frequency with which you need to moisturize depends on many factors, including your skin type, your age and whether you have specific conditions such as acne. A good way to test if you need a moisturizer is to wait 20 minutes after bathing. If your skin feels tight, you should apply a moisturizer.
Select a moisturizer with a sun protection factor (SPF) of at least 15 to help protect your skin from damaging ultraviolet rays. If you have sensitive skin, look for products free of heavy dyes, perfumes or other additives. If your skin is very dry, you may want to apply an oil, such as baby oil, while your skin is still moist. Oil has more staying power than moisturizers do and prevents the evaporation of water from the surface of your skin. If your skin is oily, you may want to skip moisturizing.
5. Shave carefully
Shaving is a common and inexpensive way to remove unwanted hair. But shaving can cause skin irritations, especially if your skin is thin, dry or very sensitive. For a smooth shave:
Press a warm wash cloth on your skin before shaving to soften the hair. Or shave after a warm bath or shower.
Don't shave dry skin, which can cause razor burn. Apply shaving cream, lotion or gel before shaving to protect and lubricate your skin.
Use a clean, sharp razor. If using an electric razor, don't use the closest setting, which can irritate the skin.
Shave in the direction of hair growth, not against it.
Rinse your skin afterwards with warm water.
If irritation does occur, apply a lotion that doesn't contain ethyl or isopropyl alcohol. Though alcohol and alcohol-based products may feel cooling, they don't really soothe irritated skin because the alcohol evaporates rapidly from the skin.loans uk
